A graduate Chemical Engineer from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Mr. Calder has been working in the Oil & Gas and Chemical industry for almost forty years, with almost twenty of these in South Africa. 

As Oil & Gas Industry Principal – New Energies at AVEVA his focus is on identifying industry trends related to Energy Transitions—including Hydrogen and Biofuels—and covering aspects of sustainability and the circular economy. With a vast experience in simulation-based applications, such as OTS and RTO, Mr Calder’s role today is more focused on Digital Twins and their applicability in the are of New Energies and their contributions towards a sustainability.
