Omar is an Energy Professional with over 15 years of professional experience in petroleum engineering and a notable academic record. He has a solid foundation in exploration and development, with a particular focus on oil and gas activities and decarbonization strategies to satisfy UN global climate pledges. 

Omar graduated from Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering, Energy Department in 2008 and holds a Bachelor's degree, a Pre-Master's degree, and a higher interdisciplinary diploma in the oil and Gas industry. 

During his professional career, he joined Weatherford International, Cairo University’s teaching, and Joint venture for numerous international IOCs. 

In 2019, he joined Baker Hughes in Dubai and Houston in an international capacity-building program as part of the Middle Management Development Program after being selected as one of the top shortlisted candidates recognized by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum. 

Also, he had a wide consultancy history in unconventional assets stimulation in the Gulf of Suez and fractured carbonate development in Yemen.
