Luca leads the Technology Team at NZTC, focused on accelerating Net Zero by developing innovative technologies for Industrial emissions reduction, hydrogen, CCUS, offshore renewables, robotics and autonomous systems, remote operations, data and AI.

Combining the centre’s Horizons Scanning & Foresight activity with cross-sector collaboration and international partnerships, Luca's team originates and coordinates technology development projects funded by Government or Industry and provides net zero technology services to industrial clients.

Luca joined NZTC from its inception in 2007, after more than twenty years of experience in transformational projects internationally. Luca led and grew the global network of Accenture Energy Hubs and delivered change management programs to support technology adoption.

Graduated in Economics and Business at Bocconi University in Milan, Luca progressed his continuous learning with executive programs at Oxford, Manchester and Nyenrode Business Schools. He has been delivering an annual Masterclass at RGU’s Aberdeen Business School’s MBA, lecturing on strategic foresight and organisational change since 2012. He is a Non-Executive Director at NECCUS and a member of the advisory committee for the Centre of Energy Policies at Strathclyde University.
