Dharmesh leads Baringa’s hydrogen commercial advisory business, advising developers and investors in the UK and Ireland, and also works across Europe. Dharmesh joined Baringa in April 2024, after working most recently as Lead Commercial Adviser to the Secretary of State at the UK Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. Prior to this Dharmesh led the UK’s first Hydrogen Allocation Round, a world’s first contracts-for-difference competition for hydrogen production. In December 2023 he agreed deals with 11 first-of-a-kind green hydrogen production projects, the most commercial scale projects agreed at once anywhere in Europe. In his role Dharmesh also worked on the design of business models for hydrogen production, storage and power. He has held various roles prior to this, including at the business advisory firm Flint Global and in the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, advising on energy sectors including carbon capture, nuclear and renewables.
