Alessandro obtained a master's degree in Energy Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2021. His master's thesis involved the techno-economic optimization of a Carbon Capture, Transport and Storage (CCTS) system and was redacted in collaboration with Eni. 

Since joining DNV in May 2021, Alessandro has been working in the CCS field. Today, his role is CCUS Consultant, and his expertise is mainly focused on optimizing the transportation of captured CO2 from industrial sites to storage locations, with a focus on reducing associated economic costs. He has been contributing to several CCS-related projects, involving conceptual design/repurposing of pipelines and techno-economic assessments of CO2 transport methodologies.
