Matt Chandler is the President of LNG Market Development. Since 2009, working as a Geoscientist, Business Planner, Commercial Advisor, and in Geoscience and LNG Leadership positions, Mr. Chandler has been involved in projects across the globe. He has worked projects ranging from unconventionals, conventionals, deepwater exploration, and now LNG where he focuses on managing ExxonMobil’s LNG strategy and portfolio. Additionally, Mr. Chandler has completed short-term assignments advising on the subsurface merit of new opportunity evaluations across the globe, from both undiscovered and discovered resources. Prior to his role within the LNG business, Matt was the Exploration Manager for Guyana-Suriname.
Throughout Matt’s time at ExxonMobil, he has built a breadth of knowledge in regional interpretation, geologic operations, seismic processing and reprocessing, and prospect maturation. In his technical roles, Matt drilled wells (conventional or unconventional) in the Permian Basin, Alberta (Canada), and the US Gulf of Mexico allowing him to integrate his geoscience skillset with other functions within ExxonMobil, including Reservoir Engineering, Development Planning, and Drilling.
Matt met his wife at Brigham Young University, and they are married with 3 children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his kids, exploring good food spots with his wife, traveling, and jogging.
