Joachim Braun is the President of ABB Process Industries, leading a multi-billion dollar business and a global organization of more than 4,000 people spanning across 50 countries.

With over 25 years’ experience with ABB, Joachim has led teams across Europe, North America, Africa, Middle East and Asia in key sectors including mining, energy, pulp and paper, metals, oil and gas, and manufacturing. Prior to being appointed President of ABB Process Industries, Joachim held senior leadership positions in general management, finance and HR. Joachim holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Bayreuth, and an MBA in International Business from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris.

In addition to being President, Joachim is the ABB Process Automation executive sponsor for diversity and inclusion. He is also a thought leader in the digital transformation and sustainability of industry, speaking regularly on these topics.
