As SVP of Financial Sponsors at BBVA CIB, Jesus coordinates origination efforts across advisory, debt arranging and global markets for infrastructure and renewable deals around the globe.

With a Masters in Management from HEC and a MSc in Civil Engineering from Politécnica de Madrid, he has a strong background in finance and engineering, as well as a passion for sustainability and innovation.

In his previous role at Macquarie, Jesus contributed to the creation and asset management of Eku, a global battery storage player with 3GW pipeline, Corio, a global offshore wind platform with 20GW+ pipeline, and Cero a European Solar PV platform. He also coordinated capital raising for two private equity sustainable funds and participated in the divestment of a utility scale asset in the UK.

His core competencies include M&A, project finance, and investments, as well as project management, negotiation, and syndication.
