The "Call for Projects and Papers" is starting these days , the first initiative of GET24 "Global Energy Transition Congress and Exihibition": an international call for new projects, technological solutions, visions, proposals and ideas to accelerate the energy transition.
Scheduled at the Allianz MiCo Milan Convention Center from 1 to 3 July 2024, GET24 “Global Energy Transition Congress and Exhibition ” is the only global forum that aims to unite the energy sector and high-carbon industrial ecosystems to accelerate the energy transition through decarbonisation technologies aimed at contributing to the achievement of "net zero" ambitions.
GET will host one of the largest cross-sector meetings in the world, involving institutional figures, CEOs, "net zero" experts and key players in the global energy transition to foster innovative partnerships and promote policies to support paths towards significant and urgent emissions reductions.
The Milan event will also be an unprecedented opportunity for leaders in the energy, low-carbon solutions, utilities and hard -to-abate sectors such as cement, steel, mining industry, as well as for finance, digital technology and start-ups, to establish innovative partnerships, generate new business opportunities around decarbonisation efforts and promote sustainable policies.
This includes "Call For Projects And Papers", an international call that aims to inspire action, unlock funding and promote business innovations for a regenerative global economy.
Aimed at leaders in energy, innovators in low-carbon solutions, finance, Big Tech and Hard-to-Abate industries, “Call For Projects And Papers” invites technology specialists, entrepreneurs, data experts, engineers, strategic managers , researchers, legislators and funders to contribute projects and papers by February 1, 2024 through the website www.getcongress.com/call-for-projects-and-papers/ .
“Call for Projects and Papers” offers owners of established projects the opportunity to highlight the key elements of their initiatives, such as environmental and social impact, costs and returns, technologies used and timing. This will allow them to inspire others and get feedback on whether the project can be adapted and replicated in the market.
For projects awaiting the final investment decision (FID - Final Investment Decision ), participating will represent a unique opportunity to present to potential investors projects ready to contribute to "net zero" actions, but which have not yet raised funds. It is an opportunity to explain the strengths of the project, the proposed financial model, the investment requirements, the potential environmental and community impact, the end users, the validated technologies and their adaptability in Hard-to-Abate sectors .
Participants will also be able to present documents and reports which may contain new ideas, case studies, market research and strategies to achieve the “net zero” goal. The selected projects will have 15 minutes to present themselves as part of the “X-Change” project within the “Global Energy Transition Congress and Exhibition with further exposure on the GET website and its social channels.
GET will offer a space to present solutions, share best practices , expand the network and remove obstacles to the energy transition, under the review of an independent Selection Committee composed of energy transition executives and experts from climate-critical sectors, which will evaluate all projects and papers to ensure their quality and relevance.
“The “Call for Projects and Papers” is a vital part of GET24 – Global Energy Transition Congress and Exhibition. The call for papers offers strategic and technological insights into best practices to accelerate the transition, while the call for projects aims to showcase concrete actions already in place that can be replicated and inspire others. This is also an opportunity to present projects that have the potential to have a significant impact, but which have yet to obtain the necessary funding.
It's time to turn commitments into action and the energy sector, hard-to-abate sectors, finance and start-ups must come together to transform COP ambitions into the business of decarbonisation. GET offers the opportunity to achieve this,” said Sarah Howell, President of GET Global Energy Transition, commenting on the program in Italy.

1/3 July 2024 – Allianz MiCo Milan Convention Centre
GET – Global Energy Transition Forum 2024 is a global event that aims to connect low-emission energy sectors and high-carbon industrial sectors to accelerate the energy transition through concrete actions.
Scheduled in Milan from 1 to 3 July 2024, GET24 will welcome 300 ministers and CEOs in 70 conferences, as well as more than 2,000 delegates, 500 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors representing the new ecosystem emerging from the energy transition, gathered to foster innovative partnerships and promote business and policies to support the path towards "net zero" emissions.
